Being Empathetic at school means that you are able to understand the feelings and lives of others and show consideration for what they may be going through. It is not about trying to fix things, or put a ‘silver lining’ around problems, but about listening and letting people just talk.
When your listening to someone, you should
1.Keep good eye contact.
2.Don’t fidget with any objects.
3.Body space – don’t be too far away.
4.Don’t interrupt – let them explain their situation in detail.
